Yummy Mummies Mum & Baby - Portishead

If you resonate with the above - Yummy Mummies Mum & Baby class is for you! A class specially designed for mums to help you safely return to exercise post birth in a fun and friendly class – and babies can come too*! This class focusses on restoring your core and pelvic floor and gradually building up your strength, helping you reconnect to your body after birth – and re-energising you to be the best Mummy you can be!
 
A typical class will include: 
  • Mobility and releases.
  • Introduction or recap to your core and breath.
  • Main workout using bodyweight exercises, resistance bands & low impact cardio.
  • Cool down stretch.
Different progressions will be given so you can always challenge your body in the best way for you!
 
Sessions run in blocks so Mummies can get to know one another, and you will have the best chance of getting results! If you would like to start the term midway through, please contact me direct via the online form or via social media DMs. We do offer a bundle or PAYG option for those that need it - please book on 12 hours prior to class where possible - there is a 24h cancellation policy with both PAYG options (see T&Cs for more details).

Important notes: 
  • You must fill out a pre-screening questionnaire prior to class - you should be directed to this on sign up, if not please find it in your profile.
  • Women must be at least 6 weeks post birth, 10 weeks for those who’ve had a c section – and have had sign off from their GP or women’s health physio to commence exercise.
  • Participants are asked to bring to class their own exercise mat (or something to lie on) and their own resistance bands (you will need one long resistance band and one small loop resistance band).

  • I always recommend seeing a women’s health physio prior to starting any exercise programme to give you a pelvic floor assessment because if you rush back you could do more harm than good – please get in touch if you would like some recommendations.
* A reminder that babies and toddlers are not to be held whilst exercising – you are encouraged to tend to your baby whenever needed but must stop exercising to do so. Please see my T&Cs for more info.
